WHERE MUSIC MEETS POETRY
Discover the lyrical heartbeat of songs and poetry on Something Like Poetry — a blog that celebrates words, rhythm, and the stories they tell.

ABOUT MY INSPIRATION.
I found songwriting through poetry because of the urge to sing my poems. And this taught me rhythm that drew me to music. The music of the '80s and '90s influenced some of my writing style.
Songs like Sacrifice, Can You Feel the Love Tonight by Elton John, Caribbean Queen by Billie Ocean, and Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper are a few of my favourites that resonate with me.
I like songs with captivating and meaningful lyrics, whether Pop, Gospel, Rap, Rock, Afrobeats, or other genres. And also, having my songs recorded by professional artists is a dream come true.
So now I've taken a step to share my passion on my blog, Something Like Poetry, where I explore the profound connections between songs, lyrics, and poetry. Come and explore and enjoy the journey with me. So, come! 😊
