ABOUT MY INSPIRATION.

I discovered songwriting through poetry because of the desire to sing my poems. And this taught me rhythm that drew me to music. The music of the '80s and '90s influenced some of my writing style.

Songs like Sacrifice, Can You Feel the Love Tonight by Elton John, Caribbean Queen by Billie Ocean, and Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time are a few of my timeless favourites that resonate with me.

I'm attracted to songs with captivating, meaningful lyrics, whether Pop, Gospel, Rap, Rock, Afrobeats or other genres.  Also, having my songs recorded by professional artists has been a dream come true.

I have now taken a giant step towards sharing my passion through my blog, Something Like Poetry , where I explore the profound connections between songs, lyrics, and poetry. I invite you all to explore and enjoy the journey with me. So, come! 😊
